WE WITNESS IN THIS DRAMA A COLLISION OF TWO OPPOSING MAGNETIC POLES ENCOMPASSING AN ENTIRE SPECTRUM OF EMOTIONAL AND INTELLECTUAL AWARENESS REDEFINING THE PSYCHE'S THRESHOLD OF CONSCIOUSNESS

THE RESULTING ECLECTIC GEOMETRIC FORM SET IN A CONTRASTING DESOLATE ENVIRONMENT CAPTURES THIS SYNTHESIS AND PROVIDES AN EPICENTRE FOR EXPLORATIONS AND EXPERIMENTATIONS 

















THE CUSTOM TEXTURES SYMBOLIC OF THEIR INDIVIDUALITY ARE EVER PRESENT IN THE COMMON MEETING POINT.  THE SHARP GEOMETRIC DESIGN REPRESENT FREUD'S BELIEF THAT THE WORLD IS BUILT ON SEXUAL DRIVES.  THE DESIGN ON AGNESI'S STAIRS ARE SYMBOLS REPRESENTING HER DESIRE TO COMMUNICATE WITH NATURE AND THE ROUNDED DESIGN ON THE BEAMS AND POSTS IN THE COMMON MEETING ROOM SYMBOLISE UNITY BUT ARRANGED IN A RANDOM ORDER TO REFLECT THE ABSTRACT NATURE OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP.

SANDBOX 2 TRIALS -

 
A VERY ELABORATE PROCESS WAS UNDERTAKEN IN THE CREATION OF THIS ENVIRONMENT.  THE TEXTURES ON THE ROCKS AND THE SURROUNDING LANDFORM REQUIRED MUCH EFFORT AND TIME.  THE COLOURS AND SHADOWS WERE ALSO FEATURES THAT REQUIRED MUCH TIME IN TO REACH A STANDARD TO GET IT CLOSE TO MY IMAGINED LANDFORM.  AS YOU CAN SEE, GETTING THE RIGHT SKY, THE COLOURS AND TEXTURES AS WELL AS THE CLOUD DENSITY WERE JUST AS ESSENTIAL IN REACHING A CERTAIN STANDARD
    
THE ENVIRONMENT
 


MUCH TIME WAS SPENT IN EXPERIMENTING WITH A SUITABLE ENVIRONMENT THAT WOULD ACCOMMODATE A PORTRAYAL OF AN ASSOCIATION BETWEEN FREUD AND AGNESI.  TO ARRIVE AT SUCH RESULT, I WAS GUIDED BY THEIR INDIVIDUAL PRINCIPLES AND CHARACTERS TO ENSURE THE SCENE WOULD COMPLEMENT AND ACCOMMODATE THUS.  THE FEATURES INCORPORATED IN THIS SCENE WERE INTENDED TO REFLECT THE DYNAMIC QUALITIES INHERENT IN THE NATURE OF THIS ASSOCIATION.

THE VARIED TEXTURES AND SURFACES ON THE TERRAIN REFLECT THE MULTI-DIMENSIONAL ASPECT OF THIS COMBINATION.  THE SMOOTH ASPECT OF THE SANDY BEACHES CONTRAST WITH THE SHARPNESS OF THE LOOMING ROCKY REGIONS THAT IS CLEARLY IDENTIFIABLE AS FREUD'S BELIEF THAT THE WORLD IS BUILT ON SEXUAL DRIVES.

THE ARRANGEMENT IN THIS SCENE ALSO DISPLAYS A STRONG SENSE OF BALANCE AND COMPLETENESS AS SYMBOLIC OF THE COMPLEMENTARY EXTREMITIES THAT CAN RESULT IN THIS ASSOCIATION.  THERE IS CONTINUITY THAT INTERCONNECTS THE FOREGROUND, MIDDLEGROUND AND BACKGROUND OF THIS COMPOSITION WHICH IS A RECURRING THEME IN THIS DESIGN PROCESS.

THE COLOURS ADOPTED PROVOKE AND INSPIRE A CERTAIN MELANCHOLY THAT CAN ALSO BE CONCEIVED IN SUCH ASSOCIATION.  AS WELL, AN OVERALL SENSE OF FOREBODING AS ONE WOULD IMAGINE EXISTS.  ALTHOUGH, TOGETHER, THEY STILL CREATE SUCH BEAUTIFUL DRAMA.

UNFORTUNATELY FOR ME, SOMEHOW THIS FILE GOT CORRUPTED WHEN CRYSIS, AS ITS NAME IMPLIES, WENT INTO CRISIS MODE! LUCKILY, IN HINDSIGHT I WAS ABLE TO CAPTURE THIS SCENE BEFORE MELTDOWN.  WELL, BACK TO THE DRAWINGBOARD...
